A lady identified as Uloma has revealed why a marriage that ended after 15 years should not be termed a failed marriage.
In a post on Twitter, Uloma said that there is no universal reason for marriage.
According to her, this is why a marriage that ended shouldn’t be termed a failure because reasons for getting married aren’t the same.
Concerning her marriage which ended after 15 years, Uloma stated that it can’t be described as a failure.
“Partnerships shouldn’t be reduced to the binary of failure and success. The loopholes are many. There is no single universal reason why people marry; people marry for different purposes, so how do you measure the success or failure of marriages if the standards are not the same?
“I would rather leave than cling on to more years of agony just to save face and perform “success.” I would also not want my marriage to be described as “failed” because it diminishes the meaning and impact of those 15 years”, she tweeted.
